105 Yelten FLEX Ceramic Adhesive Mortar

105 FLEX Yelten Ceramic Adhesive Mortar
DESCRIPTION:
Cement based, high performance porcelain tile adhesive with high adhesion strength, used for bonding porcelain tiles, granite, ceramic tiles, natural limestone, travertine, marble, cotto tiles, bricks and glass mosaics to walls and floors.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION:

Used for bonding porcelain ceramics, granite ceramics, natural stones, ceramics, cotto, marble, etc.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications on concrete, plaster, screed, and other cement-based surfaces.

Can be used for tile-over-tile applications (ceramic over ceramic, marble over ceramic).

- after heat aging: ≥ 1.0 MPa ( N/mm² )
-after water immersion: ≥ 1.0 MPa ( N/mm² )
- after freeze thaw cycle: ≥ 1.0 MPa ( N/mm² )
Slip Resistance: ≤ 0.5 mm
Flexibility: medium
Temperature resistance: -30 °C - +70 °C
Reaction to fire class: A1 (TS EN 13501 - 1)
*These values are obtained from laboratory tests and represent the product’s performance after 28 days. On-site conditions may cause variations. The values and application instructions are valid for 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
CONSUMPTION:
Average Consumption: 3-6 kg/m² depending on the application surface, tile size, and notched trowel size.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE:
For storage, ensure a maximum of 10 kraft bags are stacked on top of each other. Adhere to proper storage conditions; do not store products in humid or water-exposed areas. The shelf life is 6 months, provided the packaging is kept sealed and in a dry environment. The production date is indicated on the packaging.
APPLICATION FEATURES:

Mixing Ratio: 6.0-7.0 liters of water per 25 kg of powder.

Working & Tile Adjustment Time: 20 minutes

Pot Life: 3 hours

Application Temperature: +5°C to +35°C

Foot Traffic Allowed: Minimum 24 hours after application

Grouting Time: Minimum 24 hours after application
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Surfaces to be treated should be free from dust, dirt, oil, etc., and should be smooth and solid, neither excessively dry nor prone to sweating.
For surfaces that have been polished or hardened (such as concrete, etc.), surface hardness or glossiness should be eliminated through methods such as scraping before application.
For surfaces with high absorbency, priming should be applied before application.
Surfaces exposed directly to sunlight and overheated should be moistened with the sprinkling method to lower surface temperature before application.
APPLICATION:
Slowly add 25 kg of Yelten Flex Ceramic Adhesive Mortar to 6-7 liters (24-28%) of clean water, stir until the mixture is lump-free and homogeneous. The mixture should have a non-flowing consistency when taken on a trowel.
Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes before application, then stir again for 1-2 minutes before use.
Spread the adhesive evenly onto the surface using the flat side of a notched steel trowel, then comb it with the desired notch thickness.
For tiles larger than 40x40 cm, use the combined application method (applying adhesive both to the surface and the back of the tile). Consumption can increase by approximately 30-50%.
To ensure proper adhesion and complete coverage of the tile back, lightly tap the tiles with a rubber mallet.
Grouting should be done at least 24 hours after the adhesive application.
PRECAUTIONS:
If hardening or solidification is observed in the product after the bags are opened, do not use the product.
Do not add more or less water than the amount specified on the bag to the mixture.
Do not apply on uncured plaster or concrete surfaces (both horizontal and vertical) before the curing period is completed.
The open time of Yelten Flex Ceramic Adhesive Mortar is 20 minutes. However, in unsuitable environmental conditions (high temperature, dry air, and strong wind) or on highly absorbent surfaces, the open time may shorten. Therefore, to check for the possibility of premature drying and film formation, a wetness test should be conducted by touching the adhesive surface with fingers. If no adhesive sticks to the fingers, it means that the application time has passed. In this case, the dried or film-forming adhesive must be scraped off from the surface and a new application should be made.
In low temperature and high humidity conditions, the drying time may be prolonged.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Avoid contact with skin and eyes as it contains cement. Rinse areas of contact thoroughly with plenty of water. It is recommended to use rubber gloves during product application. The product should not be inhaled directly. Dust mask should be used when necessary.
Referenced standard: TS EN 12004-1 / C2T class
